Øyvind joined Ørsted in February 2016, first as Head of European Affairs, based in Brussels, Belgium.
He now lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Key question of interest is how to accelerate the green transition, with focus on site allocation, tender design, grid regulation, energy system solutions and public support.

Responsible for Regulatory and Public affairs in the continental European Markets.
Developing the regulatory agenda and strategy for regulatory efforts on EU level down to national and local Member-state level.

European Commission – Directorate General for Energy (2009 – 2016)
Served as policy officer in the unit responsible for the European policies on renewable energy,
dealing with subjects ranging from sustainability of biofuels and biomass (in particular the methodology for life-cycle GHG emissions),
power market design, European energy and climate frameworks and CCS.
