At Windforce 2025, Rasmus will present findings from a large-scale techno-economic study evaluating the potential of hydro-pneumatic storage

systems to unlock new revenue streams and improve flexibility for offshore wind projects.

CV:

Rasmus Juhlin is a Senior Principal Engineer at Subsea7 with over 17 years of experience in offshore and subsea engineering.

He holds a PhD in Subsea Pumped Hydro Storage from the University of Stavanger and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lund University.

Rasmus has led the development of advanced subsea systems across both oil & gas and renewable sectors.

His work focuses on the development and integrating of offshore energy storage solutions to enhance grid stability and project economics.

He is a named inventor on several subsea technology patents and has authored several publications on energy storage, subsea infrastructure, and offshore innovation.
