Dr-Eng. Dennis Kruse studied mechanical engineering at Bremen University of Applied Sciences, specializing in energy and environmental engineering. He then completed the Master of Production Engineering program at the University of Bremen. Dennis Kruse worked as a research assistant at the University of Bremen for 10 years and followed his scientific work with a PhD in production engineering. From 2013 to 2019, he was an employee of the Offshore Wind Energy Foundation and managed the office in Varel. Since 2019, Dennis Kruse has been working at Deutsche WindGuard GmbH and is a member of the management board. At Deutsche WindGuard, Dennis Kruse is responsible, among other things, for the technical operational management of onshore wind turbines and numerous consulting activities, currently e.g. for the BMWK, the Bundestag and the Federal Environment Agency. Dennis Kruse is coordinator of the Offshore Expert Committee in the Renewable Energies Network of the BMWK, and has been a board member of WAB e.V. since 2020. Dennis Kruse is spokesman for the WAB’s Deconstruction & Recycling Working Group.
The WAB is the nationwide contact for the offshore wind industry, the onshore network in the Northwest and promotes the production of green hydrogen from wind power.
The association includes around 250 smaller and larger companies as well as institutes from all areas of the wind industry, the maritime industry, the emerging hydrogen economy and research.
