Henrich Quick is Head of Offshore at 50Hertz, one of the four German transmission system operators. He is responsible for grid connection projects for offshore wind farms and offshore-based interconnectors of 50Hertz’s offshore facilities.
Henrich’s projects include Bornholm Energy Island, Ostwind 1 to 4, Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution, the first hybrid offshore wind interconnector. Prior to his current role, Henrich was asset manager and asset owner for all of 50Hertz’s transmission grid assets. Prior to joining 50Hertz, Henrich worked on major infrastructure investments for Pöyry Management Consulting (now Afry Management Consulting) and Alpiq, the Swiss electricity trader. Henrich began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton (now Strategy&) as an energy and utilities consultant. Henrich holds a PhD and a diploma in physics, both from TU Dortmund University.
