Frank Ostermann
Jörss-Blunck-Ordemann GmbH

Leiter der Abteilung Lasten und Strukturdynamik / Head of Loads and Structural Dynamics

Mr. Ostermann is a mechanical engineer with more than 15 years of experience in offshore wind load engineering.

As Head of Loads and Structural Dynamics Frank Ostermann is responsible for the load analysis and structural dynamics part of the holistic design approach.

After his degree in mechanical engineering, he worked more than 8 years for an offshore wind turbine manufacturer before he moved to the foundation designer JBO.
During that time, he gained extensive experience on the foundation design processes from a turbine manufacturers point of view – being involved in different engineering tasks and different expert and leading positions. Today, he is approaching the design tasks from the foundation designers point of view at JBO, focusing on loads and structural dynamics.

With his expert knowledge in load and certification design processes, hydrodynamics, seismic and turbine dynamics he successfully formed the department in JBO, which offers a wide range of load engineering services to the wind industry.

He was acting as lead loads engineer or design manager in more than 15 detailed design offshore wind projects worldwide and supported in more than 100 offshore wind projects worldwide.
