Maximilian Hierhammer works in the Hydrogen Technologies and Value Chains team in the Hydrogen and Synthetic Energy Carriers division at the German Energy Agency.

He focusses on offshore energy production and European hydrogen import corridors, in particular the Baltic Sea, North Sea and the partner country Denmark.

Maximilian Hierhammer holds a B.Sc. in International Development Studies from Wageningen University and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Free University of Berlin and the University of Potsdam.

Prior to his current work at dena, Maximilian Hierhammer worked for many years as an independent rope access technician.

He specialised in rotor blade repair with a focus on offshore wind turbines.
