Nils Schnorrenberger, Managing Director, BIS Economic Development Company Ltd, studied law and agricultural sciences at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel.

From 1999 to May 2010, the graduate engineer headed the business development division (commercial real estate, investment and technology promotion, marketing and project development) at the Bremerhaven business development company.

Since June 2010 he has been Managing Director of the Bremerhaven business development company BIS and since 2012 Managing Director of BEAN Bremerhavener Entwicklungsgesellschaft Alter/Neuer Hafen.

In 2002 he was co-founder of the Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven Bremen e.V. (WAB).  WAB is the network of the wind energy industry in the north-west region and is the national key contact for the offshore wind industry. In the period from 2002 to February 2012 he was chairman of the board of directors of WAB and until 2014 member of the board.

From 2011 tos 2015 Nils Schnorrenberger was a member of the plenary assembly of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Bremerhaven and since 2016 he is a member of the committee for ports, transport and logistics of the Chamber of Commerce Bremen IHK for Bremen and Bremerhaven.
