Matthias Wantia (born in 1983) has been working for TenneT since 2014. As Senior Advisor Public Affairs, his main tasks include the strategic management of all political stakeholders in Lower Saxony and Hesse. After completing his master’s degree in sociology und history at the University of Bayreuth, he worked for the regional party office of the FDP in Lower Saxony, among other things as deputy managing director and press officer. Afterwards, he was personal advisor to the Lower Saxon Minister of the Environment. Before joining TenneT, he worked as office manager and political advisor for energy, European and federal affairs for the FDP faction in the state parliament of Lower Saxony.
