Marcus Rönner has been Managing Director at Stahlbau Nord since 2014. In recent years, Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven has built three Meko A 200 frigates for thyssenkrupp Marine Service. Before that, the company’s focus was more on the construction of megayacht hulls and various constructions in shipbuilding as well as plant engineering. Stahlbau Nord moved the company’s headquarters two years ago from Neufundlandstraße to the former production hall of Weserwind GmbH and Siemens Gamesa in Bremerhaven. These premises are this year’s venue for Windforce.
Marcus Rönner completed his training at the former Schichau Seebeck shipyard and his studies in shipbuilding and marine engineering at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences. After three years as a junior engineer in the Rönner Unternehmensgruppe at shipyards in Bremen and Bremerhaven, he took over the management of Stahlbau Dessau GmbH & Co. KG and for eight years managed the new construction and refurbishment of railroad, road and pedestrian bridges in Saxony Anhalt.
