Christian Simonis has been employed as in-house lawyer at Ocean Breeze Energy since 2020. Ocean Breeze Energy operates the offshore wind farm BARD Offshore 1, which was the first commercial offshore wind farm when fully commissioned in 2013. Christian started his career in the offshore wind energy sector in 2008 as in-house counsel for the BARD Group, which was responsible for the construction and erection of BARD Offshore 1 at the time. Before Christian returned to his roots in the BARD project last year, he worked, among other positions, for the turbine manufacturer Adwen and in the central legal department of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
