Prof. Fichter worked in the sector of wind energy and energy industry for several years. Since 2017 he is professor for wind energy, energy management and storage at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. Before that he was responsible for the optimization of conventional power plants and the operation of onshore and offshore wind farms, hydropower plants and photovoltaic systems in several companies. Prof. Fichter is leading several R&D projects in ​​optimizing wind farm operation and storing electrical energy, e.g. in the form of hydrogen. In 2015, Prof. Fichter founded his company EnergieSynergie to achieve another goal of his commitment to energy efficiency.
