WINDFORCE 2023

Stronger together: Ramp up cross-industrial supply chains

12 - 14 June 2023, Bremerhaven | Germany

The WINDFORCE Conference has become the central meeting place for the offshore wind industry in Germany during its 17-year history. The WINDFORCE Dinner will offer participants the opportunity to enjoy the company of existing and new business partners in a pleasant atmosphere!

20th meeting of the international offshore wind supply industry

It is not without reason that the Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck, is this year's patron of the 20th WINDFORCE.This is where the international offshore wind supply industry meets. It is no coincidence that Norway is the country's partner from 12 to 14 June, as there is far-reaching potential for cross-border cooperation. Our motto this year: Stronger together: expanding cross-industry supply chains is also no coincidence. According to the realisation agreement of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), 50 gigawatts are to be connected to the grid by 2035 and at least four gigawatts should produce green hydrogen in the North and Baltic Seas. Synergies are needed now! With the offshore wind industry combined with the maritime industry and the hydrogen economy, there is great potential for employment and value creation in Germany. These will be the topics you can expect. How do we jointly and in international cooperation achieve 30 gigawatts by 2030 here and 65 gigawatts around us? Over 300 national and international experts, including from the conference partner country Norway, are expected to attend this international class meeting of the industry. The conference consists of a central panel discussion, over 50 expert lectures, our offshore wind turbine panel, keynotes, dinner speeches and start-up presentations. In total, conference participants can look forward to around 70 speakers sharing and contributing their expertise. We are already looking forward to welcoming you to our traditional international class reunion of the offshore wind industry on the premises of the Heinrich Rönner Group. Construction and expansion is a tradition here!
See you in June,

Heike Winkler

WAB Managing Director

Platform for the political voice of the industry

We have used the stage of the WINDFORCE Conference 2020 to the acting German government, which was still in office. The WAB messages contained, among other things, the proposal for an interim target for offshore wind expansion of 35 gigawatts by 2035, to which the demand for „green“ hydrogen from offshore wind energy needs to be added. Our intentions: to tap the potential of offshore wind and to reverse the downward trend of employment and value creation in Germany through rapid tenders and new contracts.
