Ms Telsche Nielsen has been working as a research assistant at Fraunhofer IWES in the area of know-how transfer since 2008, where she is responsible for the development of academic training courses and the establishment of university cooperations. She studied mathematics and physics in Freiburg and Oldenburg and specialised in the field of university didactics and renewable energies. Before joining Fraunhofer IWES, she worked as a research assistant at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Kassel. There, she led the project to establish the bicultural degree programme M. Sc. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the Middle East and North Africa, among other things. At Fraunhofer IWES, she established several study programmes, such as the online Master’s in Wind Energy Systems with the University of Kassel. She currently develops and leads cooperation projects with universities and colleges, e.g. research on sustainable maritime mobility and further education on hydrogen production.
